| 概要 | Lung cancer in never-smokers is a distinct clinical and molecular entity, with unique epidemiology, risk factors, and tumor biology. As smoking declines, the proportion of patients with lung cancer who have never smoked has increased. Women have been more affected given their low smoking rates. Adenocarcinoma is the predominant subtype, often driven by actionable mutations like epidermal growth factor receptor, making molecular profiling essential. Environmental exposures, genetics, and hormonal influences may contribute to risk. Never-smokers typically respond poorly to immunotherapy but benefit significantly from targeted therapies. |
